Management Team

  • M-T Strickland

    CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER (CEO)

    M-T is a Decatur, GA native that wandered north to Missouri S&T (Rolla, MO) by way of the Atlanta University Center Consortium’s Dual Degree Engineering Program (AUC DDEP). After attending Morehouse College (Atlanta, GA) where he studied Mathematics, M-T traveled to Rolla, MO to complete the Electrical Engineering program with a focus in Programmable Logic Controllers.

    During college and after graduating, M-T worked for some of the top product supply chains in the world. Consumer products to electronic components, manufacturing to material coordination, with this breath of exposure, M-T is excited about the future of Metric Mate bringing exceptional value to users and changing the way the world views fitness.

  • Braxton K. Davis

    CHIEF STRATEGY OFFICER (CSO)

    Braxton earned undergraduate degrees in physics and electrical engineering from Morehouse College and the Georgia Institute of Technology, respectively, and earned his J.D. from Georgia State University’s College of Law. After obtaining his J.D., he he has worked in both private practice and corporate patent roles.

    Braxton also founded the National Council on Patent Practicum where he focuses on increasing the number of women and minorities within the patent profession via the Patent Pipeline Program, and he is also the recipient of both Georgia Tech’s and Georgia State’s 40 under 40 Awards.

  • Ecleamus Ricks, Jr.

    CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER (CTO)

    Ecleamus earned Bachelor's degrees in computer science and electrical engineering from Morehouse College and the Georgia Institute of Technology, respectively. After graduating, Ecleamus worked for NI (formerly National Instruments), first in their Engineering Leadership Program then later in R&D. While working as a software engineer, Ecleamus earned his masters in Software Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin.

    After delivering in various roles as an individual contributor, project lead, and manager, Ecleamus moved onto software consulting eventually starting his own company, Imani Software, focused on custom software development services.

This program is located in the epicenter of startup activity in the Southeast, helping entrepreneurs build meaningful companies and enduring brands. Over the past seven years, Techstars programs, powered by Cox Enterprises, have helped launch 100 companies and raised more than $210M.
