M-T:
What's going on, everybody! This is your boy Brother M-T, and we're here with another Metric Mate Minute Podcast. On the Metric Mate Minute Podcast, we cover leaders from all over the world telling you about how they do what they do, why they do what they do and how staying fit keeps them in their best mindset. Let's go!

M-T:
What's going on, everybody? Man, this is your boy Brother M-T. And we're back with another Metric Mate Podcast. Now, I'm not even going to say it this time. And this person I'm bringing on right now is absolutely dope. And I always bring the dope people on, I know I said I won't gonna say it, but I got to let you all know because I already know because you listen to other episodes. But I'm gonna let you know right now, I bring some of the most amazing people that I could find on this planet onto this podcast that give you what they have for you. Whatever it is, I don't have any dictatorship over this. I'm not managing any of this. They're just telling you what's going on, and if it fits into what's going on with you, then something will blossom, something will come, and then I'll feel better. I ain't asking for no chicks, I'm just asking for positive energy. That is it. And today I'm bringing one of the most amazing women that I've met through my journey. Again, with this being made, graduation at the Founder Institute. This is another one of my Founders Institute cohort buddies, individuals, friends, a long-lasting business, entrepreneurs that I'm going to know probably for the rest of my career. And I want you all to know her as well. Raven has an amazing app, is doing great things in the world. But, you know, I can't give you the download. You know, I can't give you the scoop because I only know a little bit. And who's better to tell you about who they are? Then, Raven is, so Raven, thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you so much for being on the Metric Mate Podcast, you could have been anywhere but you decided to be here. But go ahead and give the audience a little bit about yourself. Tell them a little bit more about who you are, what you're doing, and how Heal Me Fit is going to change the world. Period.

Raven McNeal:
Oh, man, M-T! Thank you so much for that wonderful introduction. I mean, what you guys are doing are amazing as well, and I'm so glad and honored to be here today. So who is Raven McNeal? You know, I have been in sales and marketing for 17 years helping folks at varied facets of business, you know, been selling a 4,500 company, safety products to transportation and construction workers, and I found through my journey that health was wealth, right? Health and wellness became even more pertinent to our jobs and what we do. So these folks were just giving their all, making sure we get the things that we need, 70 percent of all goods are still transported on a truck. And by me being an outside sales rep for thirteen years and I knew how it affected my health from being in the car, eating fast food and all these other things. And I just wanted to do something to help, to get back. And so Heal Me Fit was burst out of that. And we want to create a platform that tracks biometric data and we want to take that back and begin analyzing it and provide them with insights and analytics in order for transportation managers and fleet and safety managers within the company to manage the health of the drivers in this become top of mind and, right, want to help change a culture where we know the same folks who are giving their all to us, that we are making sure that they're healthy every day and they can get back to their families and still earn a great living. OK, so that's what we do. That's what I'm into doing. And every day I wake up facing whatever it is I have to face to ensure that this problem gets addressed.

M-T:
Come on now. Come on now. Tell them what it really is, like we were talking about before, and I have truckers in my family, I know truckers. I know, I know people that live by the road and having something that will help them be able to be healthier, be happier, live longer. That is truly a noble thing. And that's really dope, like beyond words. So we know that you work in the transportation industry, but what made you see this as a need that needed to be filled?

Raven McNeal:
Because, you know, I myself, as I mentioned, was driving as a sit-outside sales individual. And I got rear-ended and, you know, my career flashed before my eyes, my neck, my back was hurting. I'm like, well, what am I going to do? And so I went to a lot of doctors, right, physical therapists, medical doctor, you name it. And I felt like everyone was just giving me like a cookie-cutter answer as to how do I handle my health moving forward. And here I am in my mid-thirties, worried, concerned about my health. So I had to take the initiative to do things for myself, whether it meant doing aquatics on my own, getting a gym membership and learning how to do those things, whether it meant keeping a personal trainer and just doing low impact stretches and exercises to keep my mobility intact and going to physical therapy. And that to me was just an eye-opener. And I was thinking, how many other people could be suffering like this? How many other people need this type of attention? What can we do, why haven't we done anything? We have a lot of technology out here. And so my passion came out of this because I was experiencing it myself. And so I said, who is a group of people that are also sedimentary, have an unhealthy lifestyle that we can help? How can we utilize technology in our knowledge and partner together to not only minimize some of these costs when it comes to accidents and work-related injuries and legalities that come out of this, but also people's lives? How are we helping the people every single day? I mean, that's where my compassion comes from, is humanity.

M-T:
Raven, man, you're moving me. I'm about to have a tear come out right now. I'm like jeez. And that is that is so moving. I mean, because having a job in sales as well and that being on the move and always constantly being in different territories, trying to see what's going on, I definitely understand exactly what you're talking about, like that sedentary lifestyle, that being out and eating out and going fast and moving fast really isn't the best for your body. And what do we really have to be able to give some type of understanding of those different motions? Like you have stuff for when you're being active to help you understand what you're doing and how your body is functioning. But what about when you're not? Where a lot of people are and then working from home, too, like a lot of people have a better understanding of this, even though it's not the same. But you have a better understanding because you're sitting a lot at home and not necessarily getting the same level of activity. So, Heal Me Fit, is an analysis too, tell us more about that, tell us more about how that integrates into what is going on in the transportation industry with the drivers.

Raven McNeal:
So that's a great question. And so with drivers, you know, on average, you know, an accident costs one hundred and forty-eight thousand dollars. You know, if a fatality happens, that's an average of five million dollars of cost, right, either on a health insurance or insurance carriers, as well as how it impacts the transportation industry with the turnover of drivers, which cost them anywhere to three to five thousand dollars. And we also know that 98 percent of accidents conclude in one death. So people are losing their lives. This is a safety issue that I don't think we've done enough to relate it back to the health and wellness of an individual. And I say wellness because we're talking about mental wellness, physical, emotional, spiritual and all the financial wellness, right. So if we can start to help people get a grasp of that, right, from the biometric data, like you're saying, we want to track what you're doing when you are sedimentary and then encourage you to do various movements that are customized for your body and your biometric data, which could be heart variability. Of course, you've seen things like Fitbit who tell you, hey, you need to walk X amount of steps, but there's so much that we can do with this now, now that it's out here, right. Especially when you think about it, like you said, all of these various jobs that have now gone remote, there's so many individuals that could be in need of tracking their health. It's just majorly important, especially with what we're going through with Covid. Health should be top of mind for all the folks you love and all the folks you're around and for the people in general.

M-T:
One hundred thousand percent. One hundred thousand percent. Man, I love it. I love it. I see it. I'm an advocate for it.

M-T:

M-T:
So we're talking about living a healthier lifestyle. We're talking about being fit, and they're so much that you're doing. Being an entrepreneur, running around, taking care of so many things, and being on top of so many things, so how has keeping a fit mind, body, and spirit kind of helped you continue to push forward and thus how you see it, helping your users continue to push forward and be better and be happier?

Raven McNeal:
Yeah, you know, every day for me, it's always something that I have to be disciplined about. It's my own personal health because as an entrepreneur I'm giving, you know, I'm giving to my family, I'm giving to the business and all of the entities I'm involved in, whether it be my job or my business, right? So what I did is I hired a life coach. I'm not going to sit here and say,

M-T:
Tell the truth. Tell the truth!

Raven McNeal:
I am like, you know, number one, health and wellness and fitness. I'm all in this journey. Right. So I lost 30 pounds after I came out of the car and I started to eat healthier and be more mindful of the things that I do. So with hiring the life coach, he helped me to kind of carve out time for myself, right. I shouldn't just get up and go to work and do the thing, you know, get ready for work, go to work. So I started waking up at like six, six-thirty and having meditation time for myself, really taking the time from a spiritual perspective to nurture myself with the word. And that kind of, you know, just helps me to level set my day. And then, you know, I always try to take my 15-minute walks, walk the dog, right, I have a wonderful dog named Leo Bear. So spending time with him or walking him for 15 minutes, that helps me to kind of rejuvenate and release, you know, the various things that I've come in contact with and all those various energies so I can refill myself so I can give my best to everything I'm involved in. And so for me, every day I think about it, I'm mindful of it, nowhere near perfect. But every day if I do something different or do something that will help my personal wellness, I know that I'm always going to be able to progress.

M-T:
Love it. Hit the nail right on the head, like that is 100 percent amazing because you found a routine that fits for you. You find things that fit for you. And that's something that a lot of people don't do. That's not something that a lot of people don't talk about is a lot of people try to get caught into what other people are doing, like damn, they're lifting weights then I'm going to go lift weights. They're out there running six miles, I'm going to run six miles. It's not about that. It's about taking care of yourself. You can't fill from an empty cup. I say that almost every episode because there's something that's said, that alludes to that fact is like you have to fill your own cup back up if you want to continue to disseminate to other people. And you have to take the time for yourself. Beautiful, like easy money.

Raven McNeal:
That's right. Thank you.

M-T:
I love it. I love it. So you've been dropping a lot of jewels. You've been given a lot of information to the people. You've been sprinkling a lot of great stuff for them. But if you could give them that one big like Hope Diamond Size jewel, that fits into all the experiences that you've had, because you've done so much, you've seen so much, you've learned so much, but if you had to give them that one piece of advice that could help catapult them, help them move forward, help them be better in their days forward? What would it be?

Raven McNeal:
Oh, man, that's a big one, right? Because there's so many things that I do. But at the end of the day, I say you have to have some form of faith. Right. In what you're doing. So that belief in what you're doing and in one's self, right, and being able to nurture that and then find other individuals who nurture that within you so that you can grow, what you're doing could grow, and you will see the manifestation of something great. So at the end of the day, you have to believe, right, it's cliché, but you have to believe that you can achieve, that you will receive, right? So.

M-T:
Break it down for them!

Raven McNeal:
Well, who else is gonna do it, right? It starts with you. How can you convince another person if you don't believe it? And when you believe it, your interactions and conversations with other individuals, they'll see a passionate belief and then they'll get on board and you'll see those folks that will help support you to the next level.

M-T:
Believe and you can achieve, like it right. Look, now, I bring a lot of people on the show. We have done a good amount of episodes. We haven't gotten to one hundred yet. Look out because it's going to be coming soon. It's going to be a big celebration. I'm gonna make sure it's super dope, but I mean, every time you open your mouth, you're dropping something significant, like for real. And even though this was, was a simple one, out of everything that you said today, that was a simple one. It is, it speaks magnitudes. It speaks profoundly, like, seriously, you have to believe and we can definitely say that now because if you haven't been through a pricy accelerator like the Founder Institute period, it has been a journey and they handed me three things, they have titled it Epic Experience, it is what it is, it is an astronomical amount to get done in a short period of time. And many have not. Many haven't, how many have fallen, have survived through these three trials. But one of the things is that it is pre-eminent about everybody that has seen it through this faith, no matter what their business is, no matter what is trying to do or what they're trying to do, they have absolute faith that they're going to make it happen. And you can hear grow more and more with the hot-seat pitches that we have to do every week because people are becoming more confident in what they're saying and what they're doing because they can actually articulate it and they have faith. They have faith now like you have told them, hey, this is a great idea. You should do this. You should turn there. And that builds your faith a little bit more and a little bit more. And that is what powers you through this journey in any profession, any part of life. Like faith will get you through. So that is one hundred percent real. I'm on it.

Raven McNeal:
Yeah. Facts!

M-T:
Facts, no cap, as they say, the young ones say, Good stuff, the good stuff. I love it. I love it. Raven, this has been absolutely amazing. I know they're going to eat off of this energy that we're putting out. I appreciate you coming on, being a part of the conversation, being a part of the Metric Mate community. But before we get up out of here, man, tell everybody where they can find you or they can follow you, where they can be a part of your journey as you continue to push forward and definitely let them know about the Heal Me Fit so they can get on that as well.

M-T:
Whoo, help people keep health top of mind. Girl drained that three! Leave them with a tag line to leave with, Yes! Now, man, we definitely going to have to find some synergies because I can see how Metric Mate works with Heal Me who it would be an absolutely great partnership. Again, long term, we going to make these things happen no matter what. We definitely going to see each other going down the road. Man, I'm super, super, super excited about what you got going on. And to know you are an amazing person. You have a great spirit. I appreciate. And the drive, like you hit me up a couple times. Hey M-T! Where you at?
