T.A.P Sensor Questions
Can multiple people use one T.A.P. sensor?
Yes, multiple people can share a T.A.P. sensor but the sensor can only be connected to one mobile device at a time. Each person must have their own instance of the mobile app. That way your data stays with you.
Does my T.A.P. sensor store any of my personal data?
No, all sensor data is processed on your mobile device with results stored securely in the cloud.
How long will it take to receive my pre-order?
Pre-orders are items that are not currently available to the general public and/or are currently sold-out. Pre-orders are orders placed in advance of stock being received by Metric Mate and require a full payment up front. Pre-orders will be shipped based on the priority date associated with your purchase. See our Shipping Policy for details.
Can I order the T.A.P. sensor in different colors?
Currently no, but prior to shipping, we will communicate to those that have purchased pre-orders of any additional colors available.
How is the T.A.P. sensor charged?

Can I outfit my entire gym with T.A.P sensors?
Yes, each T.A.P. Sensor can operate at different stations. With the mobile app, each user’s phone will connect to the station that they are closest to so that they receive data from each station without having to carry the T.A.P. sensor to each station throughout their workout.
How long does my T.A.P. sensor battery last?
It depends on how often you use it. In standby mode (e.g. on but not connected to any mobile device), the battery lasts about 7 days. Under normal use (e.g. 1 hour workout a day and turning off otherwise), the battery lasts approximately 21 days.
Does my T.A.P. Sensor work with all selectorized equipment?
The T.A.P. Sensor has a detachable pin that will allow you to use a pin size appropriate for your machine.
Metric Mate App Questions
Is the mobile app free?
Yes, there is a free version of the app. However, there will be in-app upgrades and subscription fees for our premium version.
What platforms is the Metric Mate app available on?
The app is available on iOS and Android.
Can I use the Metric Mate app without the T.A.P. sensor?
Yes, but you will be unable to capture your data without use of the T.A.P. sensor. However, downloading the app ensures you will get notifications about discounts, new services, competitions, and specials as we roll them out.
T.A.P. Assessment Questions
Do you have any locations where I can receive a T.A.P. assessment outside of Georgia?
We are continually adding affiliate gyms and personal trainers to the Metric Mate platform, we will update our website to reflect new locations as they are onboarded. Our current locations can be found here.
How often should I perform an assessment?
It depends on whether you would like to track your progress at a micro or macro level. For more micro tracking, we suggest as little as every 7 days (1 week). For more of a macro tracking big picture view, we suggest every 28 days (4 weeks). Or any regular interval in between.
How long does it take to receive my assessment analysis?
Currently, you will typically receive your analysis report within 24 hours of your assessment. This assumes that the assessment was performed accurately. If for some reason, there are any inaccuracies, we will reach out within 24 hours to reschedule an assessment free of charge. Additionally, as we expand to new assessment locations with our affiliate partners, your assessment will be immediately available within your mobile app after you perform your assessment.
Trainer Questions
Am I paid for providing assessments to clients?
Yes, each affiliate personal trainer will receive pro-rata compensation for each assessment they conduct.
Is there a minimum number of assessments I must perform or is there a max number of assessments I am limited to?
No, there are no criteria on the number of assessments you must complete or are limited to.
How do I become an affiliate personal trainer?
